WASHINGTON DC (CBS) — President Obama has called Donald Trump to congratulate him on his victory, the White House confirmed this morning.

President Obama also called Secretary Clinton to express his admiration for the strong campaign she waged.

The White House says Obama will make a statement from the White House to discuss the election results and what steps to take as a country to come together.
