Cyndi Lauper To Stump For Hillary During Gay Bar Crawl In Philly

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- More celebrities are showing their support for Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton as election day quickly approaches.

The latest is Cyndi Lauper who will be hitting up some gay bars in Philadelphia on Friday, encouraging people to get out to vote next week.

The singer will be joined by former Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell, Katie McGinty and actress Debra Messing who is an avid Hillary supporter. The GOTV Bar Crawl, organized by the Liberty City LGBT Democratic Club, kicks off at 9 p.m. at Knock and will head to a new bar every half-hour, including Tabu, UBar, Tavern on Camac, Woodys and Boxers at every half-hour.

A similar event was held around the time of the primaries.

Lauper isn't the only songstress making an appearance in Philly this week. Katy Perry will be in town the following day for a Get Out To Vote performance as part of Hillary for America's "Love Trumps Hate" concert series.

Meanwhile, actress Anne Hathaway was in The City of Brotherly Love today, stumping for votes on behalf of Hillary on Temple University's campus.
