Police ID Victim Killed In Chester County Fire
BIRMINGHAM Twp., PA (CBS) -- Authorities have identified the victim of a fire last night in Chester County.
Birmingham Township police chief Thomas Nelling says a neighbor who was driving by Bonnie Lynn Hall's house on Birmingham Road called the fire in just after 11 Tuesday night.
"The victim was discovered unresponsive on the first floor of the residence by first-in firefighters."
But it was too late. The 65 year-old Hall's pets, a cat and a dog, also died in the blaze.
Nelling, who's also Chief of the Concordville Fire Company, says it's not yet known how the fire started, but they don't suspect foul play.
"It is under investigation by the state police Fire Marshal's Office, the Chester County Fire Marshal's Office, and the Birmingham Township Police."
Nelling says there were working smoke detectors.
