PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — The Eagles need help at the wide receiver position.
With the November 1st trade deadline just one week away, the Eagles have been linked to San Francisco 49ers receiver Torrey Smith and Chicago Bears receiver Alshon Jeffery.READ MORE: Philadelphia Police: Woman Pedestrian Struck, Killed By Chaotic Driver In Center City, Others Injured In Second Hit-And-Run
Smith, 27, has just 13 catches for 199 yards and two touchdowns playing under Chip Kelly this season. Before joining the 49ers in 2015, Smith — a 2011 second round pick out of Maryland — played four seasons with the Baltimore Ravens, winning a Super Bowl in 2012. In 2013, Smith caught a career-best 65 balls for 1,128 yards and four touchdowns.
Smith (6’0″, 205), who runs a 4.43 40-yard dash, would instantly become the Eagles’ most dynamic pass catcher. Smith is currently in the second year of a lucrative five-year contract worth $40 million ($22 million guaranteed).READ MORE: CDC's New Mask Guidance In Schools Creates Tense Moments At Central Bucks Board Meeting
94WIP Morning Show host Angelo Cataldi isn’t a fan of a potential Eagles-49ers traded involving Smith.

“I only have one fixation right now and that fixation is protecting Carson Wentz,” Cataldi said. “Howie Roseman is not making three moves before the deadline, this isn’t baseball. If he’s going to make a move, he needs to bring in a terrific lineman.”
Jeffery, 26, is set to become a free-agent after the season. A 2012 second round pick out of South Carolina, Jeffery had his two best seasons in 2013 and 2014 when he played a full 16-game slate. In both of those seasons, Jeffery caught at least 85 balls for 1,000 yards, and seven touchdowns.
At 6’3″, 216 pounds, Jeffery runs a 4.53 and has a 10.24 catch radius (89th percentile). In seven games this season on a struggling Bears team, Jeffery has 32 catches for 520 yards, but has yet to find the end zone.
