MAPLE SHADE, N.J. (CBS) — A pedestrian was struck and killed overnight by a vehicle in Burlington County, New Jersey.

It happened around 1 a.m. Saturday along Route 73 in Maple Shade.

Police say a pedestrian was struck by car in the northbound lanes of the roadway and pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver remained at the scene.
