PENN VALLEY, Pa. (CBS) – Authorities say a Bala Cynwyd man is dead after falling 45 feet while unloading trash Saturday afternoon on the Main Line.

This happened just before 1 p.m. at the Koegel Public Works Complex on North Woodbine Avenue in Penn Valley.

The Lower Merion Refuse Department was accepting household trash and recycling as part of their Fall Clean-Up Event. Police say the 68-year-old victim was unloading his rubbish from a truck when he fell.

After officials got him out, he was taken to the Lankenau Hospital Trauma Center where he was pronounced dead.
