Man Struck And Killed By Vehicle In Gloucester County

MULLICA HILL, NJ. (CBS) -- Authorities have identified a man who was struck and killed by a vehicle in Gloucester County, New Jersey.

It happened shortly before 7 a.m. Sunday at Mullica Hill and Zee Roads in Harrison Township.

Police say responding officers arrived on scene and found 27-year-old Jacob Dromgoole, of Mantua, unconscious and unresponsive in the westbound lane of Mullica Hill Road. Emergency crews along with a nurse passing the scene attempted to revive Dromgoole, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators say Dromgoole exited his vehicle and walked into the roadway when he was struck and killed.

The driver remained at the scene.

Police say no charges are pending.
