PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- It has been an awful lot of fun to be an Eagles fan so far this season.
The Eagles are the surprise feel-good story of the NFL with their 3-0 record and rookie quarterback in Carson Wentz who has taken the league by storm.

In fact, the Eagles are playing so well that many think that this is the absolute worst time for the Birds to get a week off and risk losing momentum, but the schedule is what it is, so the Eagles sit this week on the bye. They will return to action on Sunday, October 9th when they visit the Detroit Lions.
