Police say the driver of a pick-up truck smashed into the passenger side of the police cruiser while that officer was on traffic duty.
Investigators say the officer was sitting in his car at the time blocking the road to secure a crime scene on the 700 block of Cobbs Creek Parkway. That was the scene of a deadly officer-involved shooting from Wednesday evening.
The officer was taken to the hospital with aches and pains. He is expected to be okay.READ MORE: Police Investigating After ATM Explodes At Kensington Gas Station
