Deer Tries To Get Into Vehicle After Being Hit

HOWELL TOWNSHIP, NJ (CBS) – This is the kind of video you have to see to believe.

A deer is hit by a car in central New Jersey, then the deer tries to get into the vehicle just seconds later.

The incident was recorded on police dash cam in Howell Township, Monmouth County.

The driver kicks the deer out of her car as it tries to get in.

The animal then staggers away.

Officer Nicholas Austin responded to the call, and he says he has never seen anything like it.

"I couldn't even have time to process it. By the time I put my car in park and got out, she had already kicked the deer out herself and it was on the ground."

Police say the driver was not hurt.
