Social Media Reacts To First Presidential Debate

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Twitter exploded with commentary as the presidential candidates went head to head in their first debate.

One of the candidates dominated the conversation on Twitter.

Millions of tweet were sent during the debate and 62 percent of the conversation was about Donald Trump, with Hillary Clinton getting just 38 percent.

Most-Tweeted topics during the first presidential debate were: the economy, foreign affairs, terrorism, and guns.

The top three tweeted moments were: Trump said he has "good temperament," Trump comments on stop and frisk, and Trump and Clinton exchange over plan for defeating ISIS.

The most retweeted tweet during the debate was from Donald Trump on November 6, 2012.

Fact checkers and social media sleuths found a past tweets that says exactly what he denied on the debate stage.

"The concept of global warming was created by and for the Chinese in order to make U.S. manufacturing non-competitive."

Trump appeared to be battling some sort of cold and was audibly sniffing throughout much of the night, leading to several parody accounts @Trumpsniffle, @snifflesTrump, @Trumpsnifsnif
