Clinton Campaign Invites Philadelphia Activist To Debate

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - When presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump face off for their much-anticipated debate Monday night, a young Philadelphia man will be there to watch in person.

When anti-violence activist Anton Moore got invited by the Clinton campaign to be in the audience for the debate, he had to say yes…

"A kid from South Philly getting to attend the debate.... it's something special."

Moore is the founder of Unity in the Community and this is not the first time he's come to the notice of the Clinton campaign. He spoke at the Democratic National Convention.

Moore says he's looking forward to hearing from both candidates, though he doesn't expect it to change his mind:

"It's going to be a great moment, being able to sit there and hear Hillary lay out why she should be our next president."

In fact, he says he really doesn't know what to expect:

"Representing my communities to be in there and actually be hearing it, I think that's going to be a game changer moment."

Both campaigns get to invite people, but most of the audience will be made up of students at Hofstra, where the debate will be held.
