Techies Camp Out For New iPhone

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Eager techies lined-up in Center City overnight to be among the first to get their hands on Apple's iPhone 7.

Nineteen-year-old David Foulks, of Mt. Ephraim, camped all night outside the Apple store at 16th and Walnut to make sure he would get an iPhone 7 on the day it was released.

The new phone is said to be faster, water resistant and David likes the fact that it does not have a headphone jack.

"When you're going out for a late-night run, you don't have to worry about the cord yanking the headphones out of your ears. You just have to put the phone in your pocket with the headphones in and you're off to the races."

DeNardo: "Why is it important to get it on the first day?"

"So I can outshine my friends."

DeNardo: "Is that how it works?"

"Where I'm from, yes!"

If he wanted to outshine them with an iPhone 7 Plus, though, he was out of luck. They were sold out and unavailable for walk-in customers.
