BENSALEM, Pa. (CBS) — Fire has claimed the life of a man at a trailer park in Bensalem Township.

The fire broke out shortly before 6 a.m. Monday at Penn Valley Trailer Park in the 3500 block of Aster Avenue in the Trevose section of the township.

Authorities say firefighters and police officers arrived to find a trailer fully engulfed in flames.

Crews quickly extinguished the fire, but not in enough time to save the homeowner. Police say the 56-year-old man was found dead inside the trailer.

Investigators say it appears the fire was the result of careless smoking and it appears that the homeowner was hoarder, which exacerbated the blaze.

The victim’s name was not immediately released.
