Many Airlines Waiving Some Fees As Hermine Heads North

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Many airlines are offering flexible rescheduling for passengers who had planned to fly this weekend, but are now facing Tropical Storm Hermine.

American Airlines, with a large hub in Philadelphia, is waiving its fee for changing flights to accommodate passengers whose flights are canceled or delayed because of Hermine.

American's Victoria Lupica, "Customers who are affected by this hurricane can change their travel plans without any additional fees. The affected airports and their travel date are all listed on our website which is AA.com under travel alerts."

The fee will be waived if your flight was scheduled through September 3, and was to, through or from more than 20 airports along the East Coast.

Lupica says if you scheduled your flight on line, you can also change it online as well.
