Authorities say witnesses saw a car stop near a barn, watched the driver go inside for a short time and then leave. They noted the vehicle’s license plate and provided the information to police.

Officers traced the plate to the home of 21-year-old Travis Wagner, of Reinholds.

Investigators say Wagner told police he had entered the barn for the purpose of engaging in sexual intercourse with a miniature horse that was inside.

He was arraigned Monday and released on bail.
