PSCPA Celebrates National Dog Day With Discounted Adoption Fees

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Today is National Dog Day, and the Pennsylvania SPCA is marking the occasion by offering discounted adoption fees.
Ben and Jerry stepped out of the shelter and into the spotlight this morning at the CBS Broadcast Center, and they were sweet as could be.

"Met everybody in the newsroom and were very friendly. They are Yorkshire Terrier mixes of some sort."
SPCA Spokeswoman Gillian Kocher says not only are they adorable, they're also adoptable.
"The promotion today is $50 off all dogs, and there will be select dogs that are one dollar."
Anyone who wants to check out the available pooches can visit the SPCA shelter on Erie Avenue from 1 to 8 p.m.
