Philadelphia Hair Stylist Turns Hair Into Political Art

by Hadas Kuznits

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A local hairstylist has turned his salon into an art gallery, with a section dedicated to the 2016 general election.

Julius Scissor, of Julius Scissor Hair Salon might be a bit of an eccentric personality.

"I am Julius Scissor. That's the name I gave myself," said Scissor.

He's turned his creativity into art -- not just for hair styling, but in his salon, which looks like an art gallery.

One of scissor's latest works is a Picasso-style painting of Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.

"Donald Trump called Hillary Clinton 'Crooked Hillary' and I say yes, she's crooked like a Picasso. In other words, she's a work of art," Scissor explained.

He has also created art inspired by Donald Trump:

"One with a Hitler mustache, but there's another one with a Hitler mustache and a clown nose, and another one, which is a collaboration between me and an artist named Bill Christainsen."

And he's not worried about expressing his views at his place of business.

"People who say don't discuss politics and don't discuss religion are way wrong," said Scissor, "I do it with my art."
