Cops: Missing Bicycles, Supplies From Wounded Warrior Project Recovered; 1 Arrested

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police say several of the missing bicycles belonging to the Wounded Warrior Project were recovered Tuesday evening.

Officials say $37,000 worth of property was stolen from the group in a theft earlier this month.

Tinicum Township Township Police assisted Philadelphia Major Crimes Unit with an execution of a search warrant on the 4100 block of
Stirling Street in Northeast Philadelphia.

Police say officers knocked on the front door and observed a male, later identified as 48-year-old male Roy Bowman, jump up from the living room and run towards the rear of the property.

They say he then stopped after seeing police in the rear of the property.

Police say four of the Wounded Warrior bicycles, equipment and parts valued at $8,000 were recovered during the search.

Authorities placed Bowman under arrest. He is charged with theft-receiving stolen property.

The investigation is ongoing.
