Phillies To Attend Tim Tebow's Workout, Per Report

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Can Tim Tebow save the Phillies?

Tebow announced earlier this month that he will work out for Major League Baseball teams on August 30th. And the Phillies, according to CSNPhilly's Jim Salisbury, will be one of those teams in attendance.

Salisbury, logically, wrote that teams are, "merely practicing due diligence by taking a look at an accomplished athlete who long ago showed some baseball aptitude. Tebow's chances of ever playing in a major-league game are extremely thin."

But let's not let logic get in the way of some fun.

Tebow, the 29-year-old former Eagles quarterback, hit .494 with four homers and 30 RBIs as a junior at Nease High School in Ponte Vedra, Florida.
