PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Actor Robert Redford celebrated his 80th birthday Thursday.

At the Reading Terminal Market, no one was surprised that the guy who inspired Swoons and The Way We Were is eight decades old.

Irene says Redford’s handsome mug, untouched by plastic surgery, looks a bit…lived in:

“He’s got a very rugged complexion now. He used to be so handsome — not that he’s still not handsome. I’m 83, so I figured he’s looking his 80s.”

Sherry says what she finds most memorable about Redford is his founding of the Sundance Institute:

“That’s what I was thinking about, his promotion of directing and film.”

Betty Ann — enjoying a sandwich with her sister, Mary – appeared to be immune to his considerable charms.

“I’m not really into Robert Redford,” she tells KYW Newsradio.

Same with Mary, who wanted to talk about someone else.

“Do you get to see Ukee Washington?” she asked.
