Budweiser Clydesdales Return To West Chester For Annual Beer Delivery
WEST CHESTER, Pa. (CBS) -- The Budweiser Clydesdales will return to the streets of West Chester in a few short weeks.
The horses will make their annual beer deliveries to several borough restaurants on Friday, September 2 from 5 to 7 p.m. as part of the city's First Friday events.
To catch the start of their parade, people should head to Gay and Matlack Streets where they'll travel west to Darlington, then south to Market, and east to Walnut Street.
This delivery tradition dates back to 1933 when Anheuser-Busch's first horse-drawn beer wagon was used to celebrate the repeal of prohibition.
The iconic dalmatian was introduced years later in 1950 as the Clydesdales mascot.
On street parking along the route will not be available during the event. Click here for other parking options.
