COPS: Worker Scooping Water Ice Punched With Brass Knuckles

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police are seeking the public's help in identifying two suspects wanted for an attack and robbery in Frankford.

Officials say the incident happened on the 1300 block of Unity Street.

Authorities say one of the suspects punched a store clerk with brass knuckles several times as the worker was scooping water ice for him and his alleged accomplice.

The employee fell to the ground, and police say the suspects then went behind the counter and took an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register.

Prior to the robbery, authorities say the first suspect is seen removing a black handgun from his waist band and passing it to the second suspect.

Police describe the first suspect as a black male, 15 to 20 years old, 5'8", unshaven, wearing a blue and white shirt with green stripes down the back, light blue shorts, black sneakers and armed with brass knuckles.

The second suspect is described by police as a black male, 15 to 20 yeas old, 5'6", with orange and red hair. They say he was wearing a black shirt, orange shorts and was armed with a handgun.

Anyone with information on the suspects is urged to call Northeast Detectives at 215-686-3153/3154.
