Eagles WR Deon Long Released By Rams For Having A Woman In His Room

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Wide receiver Deon Long signed with the Philadelphia Eagles last Friday.

Long, 25, began training camp in Los Angeles with the Rams but was abruptly released on July 31st. On Wednesday night's opening episode of the HBO series Hard Knocks featuring the Rams, it was revealed that Long was released because he broke one of Jeff Fisher's strict rules: no visitors in your room.

Long didn't obey the rule and had a woman in his room, as he said in the show while pleading with Fisher during a one-on-one meeting.

"What part did you not understand?" Fisher said to Long on the show. "Sorry, but this is our world, man. We have rules and we have to abide by them. I thought I made myself really clear."

Long began his NFL career as an undrafted free-agent out of Maryland in 2015 with the Tennessee Titans.
