A 'Bon Appetit' Round-Up Of Best New Philly Eateries
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Everyone has their go-to restaurant or favorite place to grab a bagel before work but only a select few establishments earn the praise of the popular food blog Bon Appétit. Lucky for us their list of 50 Best New Restaurants of 2016 includes a few local spots.

Philly Style Bagels
1451 East Columbia Ave
Philadelphia, PA 19125
Philly Style Bagels isn't just your average bread and butter or bread and cream cheese for that matter. For starters, Bon Appétit praises the shop for it's small batch fermentation, hand-rolling the dough and wait for it... boiling the bagels in Yards beer before baking them on wood planks. Their bagel sandwich combinations include everything from cured salmon and cucumber for a "Classic Lox" to some bacon and tomato for a B.L.T. bagel.

South Philly Barbacoa
1703 S. 11th St.
Philadelphia, PA 19148
Besides landing themselves on Bon Appétit's radar, Barbacoa also won Philly's Best Of 2016 Award. Not to mention the shout out they received from The Root's Quest Love via tweet when he suggested his followers visit the restaurant during the DNC. The lamb tacos come highly recommended!

Wm. Mulherin's Sons
1355 North Front St.
Philadelphia, PA 19122
Wm. Mulherin's Sons' pizzas and pasta helped get them on the Best New Restaurants list and pies named "Spicy Jawn" help them get attention from the locals. The ambiance in itself makes this a great new happy hour spot to enjoy small plates. Bonus is the hotel coming this fall.
