Jury To Hear Opening Arguments In Kathleen Kane Trial
NORRISTOWN, Pa. (CBS) -- Opening statements in the trial of Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen Kane are expected first thing this morning, as jury selection wrapped up Monday evening.
The jury is made up of six men and six women. They'll be tasked with deciding if Kathleen Kane is guilty or not of leaking secret grand jury information in an attempt to get back at political rivals.

She is also facing perjury charges, accused of lying under oath to cover it up.
Her attorney, Gerald Shargel, says the testimony Kane gave under oath was an honest mistake, as she had forgotten she'd signed a notarized document that said she would never release any grand jury information.
The 100 potential jurors spent the morning being questioned as a group, about things that could affect their ability to make an impartial decision. Then in the afternoon, they were questioned one by one in the judge's chambers.

Potential jurors were also given a list of dozens of potential witnesses to review, people that might be called during the trial. It included employees of the attorney general's office, Philadelphia DA Seth Williams, a handful of newspaper reporters, and some judges.
