GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, N.J. (CBS) — Gloucester Township Police are crediting a drug bust, which included the recovery of 285 bags of heroin, to enhanced proactive bike patrols.

Township officials say officers were conducting patrols near the Gloucester Township Health and Fitness Trail behind 832 N. Black Horse Pike.

Officials say they say a dark colored Toyota Corolla parked in the lot of the Howard Johnson, in a space near a wooded area. Police say a woman was walking to and from the car to rooms and would known on doors, addressing the occupants.

Police observed as the car moved to a different spot in the complex and the observed behavior continued.

Officers decided to approach the vehicle where a man and woman were found inside. The driver was identified as Dominic Roach. Police say the odor of marijuana was coming from the passenger area of the car.

Police investigate and recovered the bags of heroin, 2 vials of marijuana, 20 small vials of cocaine and 15 small vials of cocaine (powder), $940 and drug paraphernalia.

The women in the car was identified as Tonya Henson. The pair was arrested and both were charged with 2nd degree distribution among other drug related charges.
