American Girl Pop-Up Shop Coming To KOP Mall
KING OF PRUSSIA (CBS) -- Good news for little girls and their parents -- you won't have to make the trek all the way to New York to visit the American Girl store over the holidays because the retailer is opening a pop-up store in the King of Prussia Mall.
The temporary shop's grand opening weekend is set for Saturday, September 10 at 10 a.m. and Sunday, September 11 at 11 a.m. Both days will be ticketed events and will be distributed one hour before opening. The company says the tickets will be valid only on the day they are issued.
Each child that visits the store on opening weekend will receive a complimentary gift while supplies last.
There will also be a craft activity inside of the store while supplies last, as well as a drawing for a free Lea Clark Girl of the Year doll and book on both Saturday and Sunday.
Those who are interested in securing a ticket may want to use the new mall entrance between Macy's and Neiman Marcus which will be the closest entrance to the store.
The King of Prussia Mall is currently under an expansion project that will connect The Plaza and The Court together, adding 155,000 square feet and 50 new stores.
After opening weekend, American Girl will be open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays through Jan. 31, 2017.
