Clean Up Kicks Off Following DNC

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Don't let the floating confetti fool you. The Democratic National Convention has come to an end.
However, the clean-up is just getting started.
All the long hours are well worth it said Dean Stankiewicz, a stage hand for Local 8. "I thought it went off without a hitch," he said. It took several weeks and hands from across the country to set up for the convention and clean-up is expected to still take several more days.
"It's going to be a little lengthy, a little time cause it's a lot," said Horace James. "A lot went into it to setup."
Behind the glamour of a major event, this is what is required behind the scenes. Hundreds of workers are whisking away wood, wrapping cables and wasting no time.
"We've been working around the clock," James, of Local 332, said.
The four day convention ended with the historic nomination of Hillary Clinton, the Democratic candidate for president. "It was a pleasure seeing Hillary last night. It was very enjoyable, very informative. Learned a lot," James said.
"I'm a Bernie Sanders guy, but I thought everybody was great," Stankiewicz said.
As the workers wheel away furniture, they seem to have taken away a message too. They really are stronger together.
