Clinton Kicks Off Historic Campaign In Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton launched her historic campaign from Philadelphia Friday beginning a bus tour west from Temple University.

"What better place to kick off this campaign than right here in Philadelphia where it all started 240 years ago?" Clinton asked.

A flag waving crowd cheered Clinton as she hit many of the themes in her acceptance speech -- her optimism about the country's future, her plans to make it better and the contrast between her vision and the one laid out by republican Donald Trump…

"We might as well have been talking about two different countries, or as someone said to me, two different planets."

Clinton was joined by her running mate Tim Kaine and her husband, the former president, whom she quoted:

"There is nothing wrong with America that can't be cured by what's right with America."
