Delegates Warn Of Trump Win If Sanders Supporters Don't Vote Hillary

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Bernie Sanders' 1900 delegates heard from their man in the ballroom at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, before his address at the DNC. They cheered his progressive views, but many of them booed, when he told them to vote for Hillary Clinton.

He hit all of the high points about the platform:

"The fight for social, economic, racial and environmental justice continues," said Sanders.

Delegate James Fletcher of Pocatello, Idaho...:

"There was loud applause for everything he said... except the point about supporting the ticket," explained delegate James Fletcher of Pocatello, Idaho.

Another Sanders delegate, Robert Hyman of Apex, North Carolina is telling anti-Clinton Sanders supporters his cautionary tale from 1968, when he opposed the Vietnam conflict.

"I was annoyed at Hubert Humphrey standing behind Lyndon Johnson, and the war, so i sat out the election, and got Richard Nixon."

Sanders delegate Bill Leopold of Lower Merion was delighted as he put it, that "Bernie is on board for Hillary."

"She shoots herself in the foot in some ways, but she also has tremendously good democratic values. That, versus the existential threat to the planet, our children and grandchildren that Mr. Trump represents, it's a no brainer."
