PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The new Star Trek sequel traveled beyond all right. All the way to a first-place finish.

The holdover comedy, Ghostbusters, tied for third place with just under $22-million, the same take as the new horror thriller, Lights Out.

Overall, industry-wide totals were well ahead of those of last weekend as well as those of the counterpart weekend a year ago.
