DNC Delegates Start To Arrive In City Of Brotherly Love
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- DNC Delegates are starting to arrive in Philadelphia this weekend.
Delegates from all over the country are beginning to arrive in Philadelphia for the Democratic National Convention. They say they're excited for the nomination and the speeches.
"And of course, I will whoop it up to whatever extent a 66 year old woman can!"
"I'm looking forward to just having some women empowerment. I'm the same age as Hillary and I just feel like the women who are in our age group, they've been discriminated against quite a bit. We know what she's been through. Those were our years -- that was the 60's and early 70's when we were in college and fighting for all kinds of things."
This delegate tells me there is something particularly special about this convention.
"This will be the place where we will make history, putting the first woman in the White House!"
