Cops Search For Suspect Who Choked, Sexually Assaulted Woman In Kensington

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police are asking for the public's help in tracking down a sexual assault suspect.

They released surveillance video of the suspect, with a mustache and beard, wearing a baseball cap and carrying a two-toned backpack.

Police say the suspect beat and sexual assaulted a woman in Kensington.

Authorities say he choked the victim until she became unconscious.

When she regained consciousness, police say she was naked in the rear of a property on the 3800 block of Jasper Street.

The victim suffered head and facial injuries, and was taken to Temple hospital where she is in stable condition.

Police ask if anyone recognizes the suspect, please contact the authorities immediately.
