PEMBERTON, NJ. (CBS) — Authorities say a pilot sustained serious injuries, including two broken legs, after a small plane crashed in Burlington County, New Jersey.

Emergency crews responded around 1 p.m. Sunday to the scene at Pemberton Airport in the 100 block of North Pemberton Road.

Authorities say the Ultralight single passenger plane crashed at the end of the runway and caused the pilot to become trapped inside the aircraft.

Rescue crews extracted the pilot from the plane and airlifted him to Capital Health Regional Medical Center.
