Police Commissioner Issues Additional Safety Guidelines For Philadelphia Law Enforcement

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- In the wake of the 3 officers who were killed Sunday in Baton Rouge, the Philadelphia Police commissioner has issued an additional safety rule for his officers.

All Philadelphia police officers will now be paired before going out on patrol.

The measure enhances safety for police, when they are out on the street.

This is the 2nd time this month, the Commissioner has set the guideline for the department of 66-hundred.

Earlier this month, he issued the same order after 5 officers were killed in Dallas, and in January, after Officer Hartnett was shot in the arm.
