Congressman Remains Angry Hillary Clinton Won't Be Charged
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - California Congressman Darrell Issa discussed his disapproval with the FBI for not recommending and indictment against Hillary Clinton for using a private email server while serving as Secretary of State in his new book, Watchdog, in an interview with Chris Stigall on Talk Radio 1210 WPHT.
Issa feels FBI Director James Comey made the wrong decision in clearing the Democratic presidential nominee and said she was well aware of what she was doing.
"He has no right to reach that conclusion. I'm sad that he did. He did, in fact, do us all a favor by laying out, so the voters can understand, what she did and the voters should decide this conclusion. It goes down to this, is this woman too crooked to be President or is she too stupid to be President? I know that sounds Trumpesque, but I think, in this case, those are the words you need to use because either she just couldn't see things that we're all trained to see time and time and time again, 2000 times there was classifiable information and 110 times they were marked with classification levels, so is she that careless, that she doesn't look? Is she that unintelligent?"
He was also very upset with Attorney General Loretta Lynch's testimony before Congress answering questions about whether she thought an indictment was in order.
"In Washington, we like to find words that are synonyms for liar but don't say liar, synonyms for perjury, but don't say perjury. The Attorney General showed America she was not willing to tell us the truth and we can find a lot of words, but she swore to tell the truth and she didn't do it."
