Ben Simmons' Top 5 Summer League Passes
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Ben Simmons has dazzled folks in five NBA summer league games so far.
The No. 1 overall pick of the 76ers and Australian native is averaging 10.0 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 5.4 assists per game. As a 6-10, 240-pound position-less player, Simmons' passing and floor awareness has been his most eye-popping skill creating Magic Johnson comparisons.
Here are his top five summer league passes, so far.
5. The Right-Hand Scoop Pass
The defender made the huge mistake in playing up on Simmons way beyond the three-point line. Simmons, with his off-hand, blows by the defender and makes a brilliant scoop pass.
4. The One-Hand, Right-Hand Bounce Pass
The first one in this montage. Another pass where Simmons uses solely his right-hand.
3. The Baseball Bounce Pass With English
You can't teach something like that. That's all feel and natural ability, with a little flare to it.
2. The Under-Hand, Left-Hand Bowling Ball Bounce Pass
Who even attempts that kind of pass? To T. J. McConnell of all people too!
1. The Two-Hand, Thread-The-Needle, Half-Court Bounce Pass In Transition
This was the first "wow" pass Simmons made and what can you even say?
