Protests In Philadelphia Continue For 6th Straight Day

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Protesters marched the streets of Philadelphia Monday evening for the sixth straight day taking a stand against police brutality.
Starting at Broad Street and Cecil B. Moore Avenue in North Philadelphia, about three-dozen protesters, many of whom are still in high school, held signs, chanted, and voiced their frustration about the relationship between police and many black people around America.
"I'm here to get equality for black people, I'm tired of blacks being killed in the streets," said one protester.
"I'm out here because I care to show my support, to show that someone else's pain is my pain," said another.
18-year-old Aigne Miller from the Northeast section of Philadelphia organized the rally.
She says the group gathered may be young, but they have a voice and want to speak out against the rash of highly publicized fatal police shootings.
"Growing up as black kids, we've seen a lot. So we came out here to show to the loved ones of the people who have died we are here for them," said Miller.
The march ended at 33rd Street and Cecil B. Moore Avenue where protesters gathered to pray.
