IHOP Celebrates 58th Birthday With 58 Cent Short Stack Pancakes

GLENDALE, CA (CBS) -- IHOP, the pioneer of the breakfast all-day, every-day movement celebrates their 58th birthday this summer, the company said in a release.

To commemorate the occasion, IHOP is offering 58 cent short stacks because the restaurant was founded in 1958.

The promotion will take place on Tuesday, July 12 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m at participating restaurants.

"We are proud that for 58 years, IHOP and our franchisees have offered our guests the best, made-to-order breakfast all day, every day," said Darren Rebelez, president of IHOP. "Our focus on fresh, innovative food served in a welcoming setting where our guests can create a lifetime of memories with family and friends is apparent in everything we do as a brand."

The anniversary price is four cents less than the 62 cent price tag the pancakes had when the first store opened in Los Angeles.
