Inspections To Close Certain I-95 Lanes For Several Days Beginning July 6

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- PennDOT has announced travel restrictions, to begin on July 6, that will impact I-95 in Philadelphia.

On July 6, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., the two right lanes will be closed heading south on I-95 between I-676 and Columbus Boulevard. The two left lanes will be closed from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

From 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., one lane will be closed on the Market Street ramp to I-95 south. From 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., the right lane will be closed on I-95 north between Island Avenue and Girard Point Bridge. The left lane will be closed from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

On July 7, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., the right lane will be closed on the Columbus Boulevard ramp to I-95 north. On July 7 and 8, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., the right lane will be closed on the eastbound George C. Platt Memorial Bridge between Bartram Avenue and 26th Street.

On July 9, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the right lane will be closed on the George C. Platt Memorial Bridge, heading east, between Bartram Avenue and 26th Street.

Inspections will be taking place to check the safety and overall quality of bridges.
