Ben Simmons Headlines Sixers Summer League Roster

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Sixers announced their Summer League roster on Friday afternoon and the group for the Utah Summer League will be led by first overall pick Ben Simmons.

The Sixers kick-off play in the Utah Summer League on July 4, when they take on the Boston Celtics at 7:00 p.m. That will mark the first time that Simmons takes the court in a Sixers uniform and he will be joined by fellow 2016 first round pick, Timothe Luwawa-Cabarrot.

The Sixers third pick in the first round of the draft, Furkan Korkmaz is not on the roster.

The wait will continue for fans hoping to see Joel Embiid on the court. Although the Sixers' big man has been cleared to scrimmage, the team will hold him out of action in Utah.

After playing in Utah, the Sixers will head to Las Vegas to take place in Summer League action there. Assistant coach Billy Lange will coach the team in Utah while Lloyd Pierce will be at the helm in Vegas.
