Accident, Car Fire Shuts Down Lanes On I-95 In Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- An accident and car fire shutdown lanes near Exit 30 on I-95 on Thursday afternoon.

Officials say that a multiple vehicle accident, involving at least four vehicles, took place southbound near the exit for Cottman Avenue and Rhawn Street in Northeast Philadelphia.

The incident took place around 6:15 p.m. Officials say one of the vehicles caught fire and it began to spread to another vehicle.

Crews were out on the scene working to clear the area. The southbound lanes were fully shutdown and have since reopened as well as the northbound lanes.

It is unclear if anyone was injured.
