Hinkie told 94WIP’s Brian Haddad that he is “avoiding media requests out of respect for the Sixers.”
Hinkie, 38, is largely credited for the exciting future of the Sixers. However, after three straight seasons with less than 20 wins, Hinkie decided to resign following the franchises decision to hire Jerry Colangelo. A large following of Hinkie supporters continue to praise Hinkie for his work as GM in Philadelphia and when the team won the first overall pick in this year’s draft lottery, Hinkie was celebrated.
