Governor Wolf Orders Flags At Half-Staff To Honor Victims Of Orlando Shooting

HARRISBURG, Pa. (CBS) – In accordance with President Obama's proclamation, Governor Tom Wolf has ordered all United States and Pennsylvania flags at the Capitol Complex, Commonwealth facilities, and all public buildings and grounds throughout the state lowered to half-staff, effective immediately.

This order is to mark respect for the victims of the attack at an LGBT club that took place early this morning in Orlando, Florida.

"Frances and I send our thoughts and prayers to the victims, their families, and the entire Orlando community for the tragic and senseless terror attack and hate crime that occurred early this morning in Florida," said Governor Tom Wolf. "I ask all Pennsylvanians to participate in this tribute on behalf of all who were lost and injured."

Flags should be flown at half-staff until sunset on June 16, 2016 per President Obama's proclamation.
