Upper Darby Trash Man Saves Kitten Thrown In Garbage

UPPER DARBY, Pa. (CBS) -- Humane Society officers in Delaware County want to know who could have thrown a kitten in the trash.

The cat is alive, thanks to an Upper Darby trash man who spotted her in the back of his garbage truck on Monday.

She managed to survive after someone put her in a sealed trash bag.

The Providence Animal Center named the kitten "Grundgetta" after Oscar the Grouch's girlfriend.

Now she is looking for a new home while the Humane Society officers try to figure out who tossed her in the garbage.
