Man Charged For Attempted Sexual Assault Of Woman At Knife Point

WARMINSTER, Pa. (CBS) -- Police in Bucks County arrested a man who allegedly stabbed and attempted to sexually assaulted a woman getting into her car.

Forty-seven-year old Angel Ramos was charged with attempted robbery, sexual assault and terroristic threats among other charges.

According to Warminster police, the 33-year-old victim says she was sitting in her car late Monday night along the 800 block of West Street when Ramos approached the door, opened it and attempted to rob and sexually assault her at knife point. She was able to escape into a nearby business and call 911 but suffered stab wounds to her head and hands. The suspect fled on foot.

Arriving officers searched the area with help from Warrington Police and the Upper Morleand Police K9 Unit and found Ramos loitering at another nearby business. He was taken into custody and identified by a witness.

Ramos was sent to the Bucks County Correctional Facility in lieu of $7.5 million bail.

The victim was treated for her injuries at Abington Memorial Hospital and later released.
