A Northern Liberties Boxing Gym Remembers Muhammad Ali

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Muhammad Ali was remembered on Saturday at a Northern Liberties boxing gym on their community day. There was a moment of silence and then a ten bell salute to remember Muhammad Ali at the Joe Hand Boxing Gym along North 3rd Street.

World middleweight titleist Benard Hopkins was there.

"I myself share the same faith, Islam Muslim, and we understand you can't have life unless you have e death. And we understand that when its time its time," Hopkins said. "He is not suffering; he is not in that state of mind or state of health that he was in. So to me it's a day of rejoicing. It's a day to remember the Ali from A to Z."

15-year-old Love was working on his boxing technique. He said he hopes one day to be the greatest!

"Just trying to keep working to become great. Just work hard."

Dave Wilkes use to train and manage fighters."

"You know everything he said, he was going to do, he did," Wilkes said. "So whether you like him or don't like him, you had to love him."
