Wahlburgers Hosts Job Fair Ahead Of Philadelphia Grand Opening

By Hadas Kuznits

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Wahlburgers, a new Philadelphia restaurant owned by Wahlberg brothers Donnie, Mark and Paul held a job fair ahead of July's opening but folks didn't exactly flock to work there, just because two of the owners are famous actors and singers.

Artie Giordano, operating principle of Hingham affiliates Wahlburgers Philadelphia, says it's not easy finding quality employees when you open a new restaurant here.

"The biggest issue is culinary renaissance that's going on in Philadelphia. So there's more supply than that meets the demand."

But he says despite the challenges, Wahlburgers is looking to expand quickly.

"There's a 102 for the next three years."

Meanwhile, they're banking on the brothers's popularity to entice fans to visit. But when asked about the chance to catch a glimpse of Marky Mark eating a burger in his underwear, "probably not going to happen," he said.

"If you ask Mark to pose for eating a burger, I'm sure he'll be happy to."

The Philly restaurant, located in the Piazza at 1033 North 2nd Street, is scheduled to open mid-July.
