Brett Brown: Joel Embiid Has 'Chance' To Play In Summer
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Right after the 76ers acquiring the first-overall pick on Tuesday night, Joel Embiid tweeted this.
Sixers coach Brett Brown told 94WIP last week that Embiid will be ready by game one of next season and now says, don't rule out summer league either.
"There is a chance," Brown told CSN Philly. "I don't know how great that chance is. Joel's progress and his day-to-day stuff is obviously heavily scrutinized. We've come so far that we don't want to do anything reckless. I say there is a chance. I can't really quantify if it is a big chance or a small chance, but it is still on the table and we're monitoring him every single and he's doing very very well."
